UQAM ACM-W Student Chapter was founded in July 18th, 2016

Have you noticed the low presence of women in computer programs at UQAM?
This summer, in order to improve the gender balance, a group of students founded the ACM-WS UQAM.
ACM-WS UQAM is a Student Chapter of the Association for Computer Machinery (ACM) dedicated to Women in computing.

The goals of this association are to:
– promote women’s participation in computing both in the academic and professional environments
– gather students into targeted activities
– create a local and national network of female computer scientists.

The chapter is supported by UQAM and the ACM, a leading computer networking organization worldwide.

The Student Chapter of the ACM-W at UQAM is currently looking for motivated students to contribute to its growth and its activities.

So come join us!
Looking forward to meeting you,

The UQAM ACM-W Student Chapter Team
